Mulango
Mulango Children’s Home was the very first home God opened when 58ten was established, and it’s been a blessing and testament to his love ever since. Mulango is home to around 165 children between 5 and 22 years old. The older children may live at school during the school year but sometimes come back to Mulango to visit during breaks. The home has 10-15 staff members at any given time. Knowing these children need a sense of home more than any, the staff has done an amazing job creating a family environment at Mulango.
The biggest ongoing need at Mulango is financial support for the older kids’ education. Around the age of 13 Kenyan teenagers take a test to gain the opportunity to further their education in local boarding schools. This education is critical for equipping these children to lead stable lives. Our prayer is that the 58ten community would be able to provide for the tuition costs of the children old enough to attend these schools during the semester.

Michael - Mulango Manager
Mulango Manager:
Michael’s passion for the children of Mulango runs deep. Orphaned at eight years old, Michael grew up in a children’s home himself. His personal understanding of what the children of the home have experienced gives him a unique way to connect and care for them.
Michael began working with Chariots for Hope in 2013 as a regional accountant. Michael oversaw the finances of several homes. In 2019 Michael was promoted to be the Manager at Mulango. He thanks God for the opportunity to serve as a father to so many children and help them realize who God has created them to be. It is rare to see Michael without a big, contagious smile!
Michael and his wife Susan have 3 children.
